I had the honor and the pleasure to be a guest on a new podcast, Hashivenu, produced and hosted by Rabbi Deborah Waxman, the President of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association. The theme of the podcast is Jewish approaches to resilience, and I was invited to speak about humor (!) and its role in human resilience.
It was a wonderful conversation, and the episode was released this week in honor of Sukkot, our fall harvest festival which also marks the journey of the Israelites in the wilderness after leaving Egyptian slavery. The holiday is called zman simchateinu, the time of our rejoicing, and thus is a holiday in which we are told specifically to be happy.
In honor of Sukkot, I share the episode with you. Click on this link to listen. And the other episodes are great too.
Thanks for continuing the conversation!
