I am a rabbi, rooted in Jewish tradition. Kirsten (yes, my Carpooling partner) is an artist, and a practitioner of Tarot.
When it came time for the counting of the Omer, the counting of the 49 days between Passover and Shavuot, we decided to have a dialogue across these spiritual practices.
The Jewish mystical tradition assigns one of seven divine attributes to each of the seven weeks of the Omer, and then one of the attributes to each day of the week. The intersection of the two provides a kavannah (an intention) for the day. In addition, Kirsten has drawn a Tarot card for each day of the Omer. We discuss the meaning, and reveal the results!
