Not that I’m known for my culinary arts, but I did cook up a Hanukkah-themed cocktail a few years ago and serve it every year at our congregational Hanukkah party. Essentially it is a spiked hot chocolate made with gelt. Simple, but good!
- 2 pieces of milk chocolate gelt
- Hot water
- Whipped Cream
- Blue sprinkles (or any other topping)
Unwrap two pieces of gelt and place in a cup, pour over hot water 3/4 full. Stir until gelt melts. Add Goldschlager to taste, top with whipped cream and sprinkles or topping of your choice (another piece of gelt, perhaps?). Enjoy!
*Goldschlager is a cinnamon schnapps with gold flakes–in keeping with the gelt theme.
